Saturday – 8:00 – 12:00 September 21st, October 19th, and November 16th
No Charge for the following:
- All metal
- Appliances (Refrigerators, microwaves, freezers, washers, dryers, etc.)
- Batteries
- Computers
- Rims – no tires
- Televisions - $20.00 each
The Town of Freeman reserves the right to refuse any items not listed above.

Co-mingled recycle dumpster
All material shall be rinsed, clean, empty or free of debris.
- Glass
- Rigid plastic containers made of PETE, HDPE, PVC, LDPE, PP, PS, and other resins or multiple resins
- Tin and steel can
- Aluminum
*No other material including plastic or garbage bags may put in the co-mingle dumpster.
Cardboard, Magazines, Newspaper, etc., shall be clean, dry, and free from debris and placed in designated receptacle or area.
Waste tires will not be accepted at the Town of Freeman Recycling Center. Waste tires shall be delivered to an automotive or other retailer, repair shop or similar, which accept waste tires for recycling. Waste tires may not be landfilled.
Other garbage will be placed in designated receptacle.
The Town of Freeman does not accept: Paint, Chemicals, Containers that once contained hazardous materials, concrete, railroad ties, asphalt, or asphalt shingles.
The Town of Freeman does not accept materials, recyclables or garbage from outside of Town of Freeman.
Construction and demolition material will not be accepted at the Town of Freeman recycling center.
The Town of Freeman authorizes the attendant to make decisions on accepting/rejecting materials.
A citation of not less than $10 or more than $1000 for each violation, will be issued to any person who leaves any material outside the recycling center area or attempts to leave any material inside the recycling center area outside of the hours set by the Town of Freeman – Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00PM and Tuesday 12:00PM – 5:00PM. The town board may take action to change these hours at any time.

Taking the time to sort out recyclables is a commitment to reduce waste and slow down the need to search for more land for landfills in our area. Before you arrive with your recycling, please rinse and sort all of your recycling. It helps keep our Town of Freeman expenses down if you have done your part to prepare the material ahead of time, which keeps your taxes lower. It is not the job of the person who is working at the center to sort or clean your recycling. If you are unsure of how to prepare your recycling, please ask. We hope to have an information sheet available in the near future for your reference! Thank you for your cooperation, kindness, and understanding.
